He uses the strength of the contrast of white and black to express the restrained power of a storm that is forming. He imprints a deaf, disturbing and threatening movement in this painting with the two white and black forms which co-penetrate. On the left side it gives the feeling of rain.

James depicts the strength and weight of threatening clouds. His forest "Les Bois d'Arax" was devastated by a storm in 1999. From that moment he has started to explore the sky, the clouds, the wind on his canvas. In this series, the fascinating storms and the power of rain.
