« La Parisienne » pays homage to women, more particularly to the elegance of Parisiennes. In Paris I often take the metro. How many times I have been lulled by the hammering of the heels of women's shoes on the asphalt of the Paris metro. These typical sounds of Parisiennes walking at a brisk pace still resonate in my head. This noise, reflected and amplified by the “Metro” faience that covers the vaults of the tube is for me specific to the center Paris metro in the morning.
For this painting, I wanted a very Parisian atmosphere: I sketched the long legs of Parisian fashion models with two lead pencil lines; I sketched an Eiffel Tower and some banknotes in a small bag. For the background of the painting I used marble powder and pink ink in reference to the make-up of the feminine universe. For the shoes I was so amazed when I discover that the fashion designer @jeanpaulgaultier created in one of his collection shoes that look almost like these of my painting.
