This painting on paper was made with the still fresh paint of the XXL tableau matrix of the performance Presence painting n° 55. 

The performance  is a new type of portrait in the form of an assemblage work combining an XXL matrix painting 78.7x 66.9in, a series of paintings on papers) photos of the model and a video of the session. At each performance session James invites a model and made a large painting. There is an original spatial device (Remote, camera, video, screen, egg chair 360°).
