... As music, bossa nova more precisely, was playing in the studio, James was very pleased to watch and capture his model dancing. All the simple joy of dancing is recorded in the shapes, paint matter, drips and the general atmosphere of the painting.

James appreciated a lot this session which was both relax and full of energy of his polyglot « dancer ». The spirit of swinging London and Africa is not so far.
